My hubby, Cory, with our boys, Elijah & Isaiah I do not work on Saturdays...and I do not workout on Saturdays. My family and I observe the Sabbath. It is my ONLY day off each week. Well, since it was for a good cause we went ahead and did the 5K Fun Run/Walk to benefit the Parents for Pre-K. Afterall, Elijah just finished up his 2 years their and Isaiah will be heading there in 2011. It is a great program. We have been so impressed the past 2 years how much Pre-K has allowed Elijah to grow and learn. So, yesterday my husband and I loaded the boys up for the fun run in support of keeping our Litchfield Pre-K. Cory took Isaiah in the Baby Jogger. And I just thought I would take it easy and coach Elijah through a little walking/running interval workout. Yeah, it didn't go how I planned....AT ALL. So much for an easy stroll. We didn't get about 20 feet away from the starting line and I Elijah says to me, "I don't feel like walking." What??? We have 3 miles to go!!! About a year ago the kid ran an entire 1 mile non-stop with me...Elijah ALWAYS has a ton of energy. Well, not yesterday. So after about a quarter mile more of me dragging him by the hand, I threw him on my back. Yup, and we finished the almost the whole thing with my almost 5 year old, 50lb boy riding piggy-back. He walked maybe 2 other times, but for a matter of minutes before I heard in a whiny voice, "I am tired." I have learned my lesson. Aside from the sweat in my eyes and my aching legs, it was a good time and the event appeared to have a great turn out. :)

Parents are very valuable and precious components and members of the families. The role of the elders in our society and community are assured and implemented the recognition is very much the urgent and effective need of the times.
